Stewart Cink

Stewart Cink has played for the USA in the Ryder Cup Matches on three occasions - in 2002, 2004 and 2006. He currently ranks within the top 10 of the US Ryder Cup points list and within the top 30 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Born in Alabama, Stewart Cink had an early introduction to golf through his parents, both of whom were single-digit handicappers. Cink attended Georgia Tech, where he played for the Yellow Jackets. He started a professional golf career in 1995 and in 1996, won the Mexican Open and three events on the Nationwide Tour (then called the Nike Tour).

Stewart Cink joined the PGA Tour in 1997. The highlight of his career thus far came in 2004, when he won the WCG-NEC Invitational - his first major championship win. In that year, he ranked fifth on the money list.

Highlights for Cink in 2006 included a 4-and-3 singles victory over Sergio Garcia at the Ryder Cup Matches, for which he was named as a captain's choice, a fifth appearance at the TOUR Championship, and a solo 10th finish in the Masters.

In the 2007 PGA Tour season, he finished third in the Players Championship. He currently ranks 28th in scoring average on the PGA Tour.

Stewart Cink is an avid Atlanta Thrashers hockey fan and is said to enjoy roller hockey. He and his wife Lisa have two sons - Connor and Regan.
