Team USA Ryder Cup Captain

LOUISVILLE, KY - OCTOBER 22: U.S. team captain Paul Azinger poses with the trophy as a preview for the 2008 Ryder Cup at Valhalla Golf Club on October 22, 2007 in Louisville, Kentucky.

For 2008, Paul Azinger will be the Team USA Ryder Cup captain.

Commenting on the appointment of Paul Azinger as the Team USA Ryder Cup captain for 2008, PGA of America President Roger Warren said, "Paul Azinger's passion for the game, his courage to battle back from debilitating disease and his leadership in past Ryder Cups make him the ideal leader to guide the American team in 2008 at Valhalla."

In 2000, Azinger went on to win the Sony Open in Hawaii, marking his 12th win of a PGA Tour event.
